The Arnold Sports Competition and the Plantbuilt Team: Ironbound shooting continues!

From February 27 to March 2, 2025, the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, became the epicenter of elite strength sports. Among the standout teams was PlantBuilt, a collective of vegan athletes proving that compassion and raw power can coexist. I had the privilege of capturing their journey through the lens, documenting their performances and the camaraderie that defines this exceptional group for Ironbound.

Behind the Lens: Capturing the Action

Filming at such a prestigious event was both exhilarating and challenging. With athletes competing at different times, I found myself rushing between venues, ensuring I captured every moment of the action. The VeganStrong booth was a hub of activity, showcasing the team’s achievements and engaging with fans and supporters.

Despite the hectic schedule, there were moments of respite. Evenings spent dining with the team allowed for candid conversations, shared experiences, and a deeper understanding of the individuals behind the strength. These moments underscored the unity and support that define PlantBuilt.

Reflections

The Arnold Sports Festival 2025 was more than just a competition; it was a testament to the power of community, dedication, and the belief that strength can be fueled by compassion. The PlantBuilt team not only showcased their physical prowess but also highlighted the importance of ethical choices in athletics.

As I returned to New York City with a wealth of footage and memories, I was reminded of the profound impact these athletes have in challenging stereotypes and inspiring others to pursue their passions, regardless of dietary choices.
